9–9:25 a.m. Engage students using UDL principles
Please join this session to discuss strategies to engage learners using Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles. Participants will have an opportunity to interact with their peers and share best practices.

9–9:25 a.m. Tech Tools for Student Engagement
Some days it’s hard to get your students engaged, so it’s helpful to have some tech tools that you’re comfortable with to get students involved. We’ll look at tools for polling, brainstorming, group work, and review.

Please join your peers in an interactive session on how to provide choices when assessing students in your course. We will discuss how to provide options for students to demonstrate knowledge learned, which benefits all learners.

Although Canvas is a simple-to-use LMS and its tools are intuitive, there are always some shortcuts and details that can make the instructor’s life much easier. Come to this workshop and discover some of them.

Canvas has some hidden gems that are worth exploring. Not only are they simple to implement, but they make the instructor’s life much easier. Come get to know some of my favorites!

Explore the latest virtual reality and augmented reality educational software applications from across the curriculum. This is an opportunity to try a Meta Quest VR headset or a Microsoft Hololens AR headset. The academic technology team will be there to guide you to experiences that align with your academic areas.
